Custom Box type fixed ac metal closed ring network switching equipment Manufacturers, Exporter

HXGN17-12 Type Fixed Metal-Enclosed AC Ring Main Switchgear, an AC high-voltage complete equipment assembly rated at 12 kV and 50 Hz, primarily used in three-phase AC ring main networks, terminal distribution networks, and industrial power equipment for functions including power reception, power distribution, and protection. It is also suitable for installation in prefabricated substations.

Product Description

System Structure

Based on the installation method of the load switch, ring main units can be classified into two primary configurations: side-mounted types and front-mounted types.

1. Structure of the Side-Mount Ring Main Unit

The side-mount ring main unit is engineered with high-precision electrical components, a robust cabinet body, and a sophisticated interlocking mechanism.

a. Electrical Components

The primary electrical components include: FN12-12 load switches with side-mounted operating mechanisms; ISARC-type load switches; LBS- or VLBS-type load switches; current transformers; voltage transformers; and high-voltage live-line indicators. All components are securely mounted onto the cabinet body.

b. Cabinet Body

The cabinet body adopts a fully assembled structure, comprising a frame, top panel, door panel, and side enclosure panels. The frame and panels are fabricated from precision-bent steel plates to form a fully enclosed, secure environment.

c. Interlocking Mechanism

An interlocking device is installed among the load switch, earthing switch, and front door panel. Operational logic includes:

1) When the load switch is closed, the earthing switch is locked, and the front door cannot be opened.
2) When the load switch is open, the earthing switch may be closed. Closing the earthing switch allows the front door to open.
3) When the earthing switch is closed, the load switch remains locked in the open position.
4) When the earthing switch is open, the front door panel remains locked.
5) In cable-inlet cabinets, an electromagnetic lock prevents door access if voltage is detected, ensuring operator safety.
2. Structure of Front-Mounted Ring Main Unit

The front-mounted configuration offers a streamlined interface for specific installation requirements.

a. Electrical Components

Features FN12-12 type load switches (without side mechanisms), ISARC type load switches, LBS or VLS type load switches, current/voltage transformers, and high-voltage live-line indicators.

b. Cabinet Body

Utilizes a fully assembled structure including the frame, top plate, door panels, and a front-facing operating mechanism for ease of access.

3. Busbars
Material: Busbars are manufactured from high-conductivity copper or aluminum.
Identification: Standardized color coding is applied for phase identification and safety.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What are the two main types of Ring Main Units based on installation?
Ring Main Units are primarily classified into side-mounted types and front-mounted types, depending on how the load switch is installed.
2. What safety features does the interlocking mechanism provide?
The interlocking mechanism ensures that the earthing switch cannot be closed while the load switch is active, and prevents the front door from being opened unless the system is safely earthed.
3. What materials are used for the RMU cabinet body?
The cabinet body is constructed from bent steel plates, forming a fully assembled frame and enclosed structure for durability and protection.
4. Which electrical components are standard in a side-mount RMU?
Standard components include FN12-12 load switches, current and voltage transformers, and high-voltage live-line indicators.
5. Are busbars customizable in terms of material?
Yes, busbars are typically manufactured from either high-quality copper or aluminum depending on the specific electrical requirements.
6. How is unauthorized access prevented in cable-inlet cabinets?
An electromagnetic lock is used to prevent the front door from opening whenever voltage is present, requiring a dedicated key for emergency manual unlocking only.
